Wuqu’ Kawoq is a health care organization in Guatemala that focuses on providing high quality care to Maya communities in rural Guatemala, offering care in indigenous languages such as Kaqchikel. As part of this work, Guatemalan physicians and students see patient in rural clinic sites. In partnership with Dra. Ana Cordon Juarez, a Wuqu’ Kawoq physician, a twice monthly teleconference series is planned to start in June 2019, with opportunities for physicians and trainers from both Guatemala and UIC to discuss cases and management decisions.
